The latest visitors

Grandma and Grandpa French came up for a visit this last weekend. We got the pumpkins and costumes ready for the big night. Maddie learned a new card game from Grandma so now the new rage is Mexican Train Dominoes AND Golf.

Grandpa and Dad got hte yuck job...gooey pumpkin guts! 

Grandma gets the fun job! The artwork! The kids got online this year and created their own pumpkin face designs and then printed them to use as a stencil. A lot of fun.

Family visit

This last weekend, Grandma Lu, April, Martin and Luke came up for a visit. We had a good time. The kids went swimming, went to a movie and played the entire time. A packed schedule! Besides we had to cram in Saturday morning Soccer as well. Quite a weekend!!

Soccer Saturday

Maddie had that chance to play keeper this weekend..she loved it! She did a fantastic job and Grandma Lu gor some excellent action pictures of her and of Spencer at their games this weekend.

 

Hard to tell in the picture, but Madeline took a major hit to the right side of her face while palying keep at game. Man, it was a hard kick and she took it...not a tear shed. She did say after the game that is felt like a big bee sting and that she wanted to cry. but she was tough! very proud moment for mom and dad.

A visit to Uncle Dan's work.  

The reality of saturday morning soccer! It was so stinkin' cold! 

After the kids went swimming this is how we kept them occupied while each of them was getting washed up. hard to tell what they are doing. 

The hotel pool! Ok not really...They all jumped in the hot tub for a group picture.  

Spencer was having such a hard time getting into the game this week. Too much excitment having his cousins here. Knowing he was going swimming right after the game. Funny watching him struggle to get focused.  

Finally by the end of the game, Spence turned on his wheels! 

Logan wanted to watch some of Madeline's soccer practice, so I took him with me when I dropped her off yesterday. On the way back he turns to me and says, "Hey Dan, we got to have lunch with my dad today." I said, "That's cool, where'd you guys eat?" Without hesitation he says, "The Buffin Belly." I wasn't sure what he was trying to say so I asked him again. Once again he offered, "The Buffin Belly." Finally it clicked and I said, "Oh, do you mean the Brooklyn Deli?" Almost without pause he said, "Yep, that's it." I asked him if he had a sandwich and he explained that he had a turkey and Swiss cheese, but that doesn't particularly care for Swiss.

I hear you knockin' little man, I prefer the white cheese myself.

Harvest on the Bluff

The Hurley's and Williams' took a trip to Green Bluff after church for some Harvest fun. The kids all had a blast. It was a chilly afternoon and we had a perfect end to our day having some very delicious stew Sarah had made. Good day..good friends...good food.... good memories! Here, Josh had a little helper on the apple picking front! Averie had a blast up and down the ladder and picking up little runty apples that had fallen.
