The williams' go camping

Our first and last camping trip of Summer 2006. Maybe next year will be better. This was planned last January and we didn't intend for my recent diagnosis. So we still went ahead. Sarah, Josh, my mom and Dan helped me out a ton as I couldn't pull it together as I normally would. My mom was here and helped me pack bags and get camping stuff out and as you can see Dan loaded the car!!!! All in all it was good timing to get away and get some fresh air and be in the quiet. We had a really good time with our family and good friends! Posted by Picasa

The first night of sleep was a little nuts. It started out ok..the kids went to bed just great. but when Dan and I went to bed, I was changing into pajamas and I turned around and was staring straight at a huge Hobo spider..the size of a silver doller. It took some work bt finally after about 10 minutes Dan got him. Didn't sleep so well that night.  Posted by Picasa

Sophia waited ALL day to make the S'mores! actually she kep asking us if she could start "burning marshmellows". Just look at her...a little scary.  Posted by Picasa

Logan and Madeline. They seem to get along the best. We secretly think that Madeline will ask Logan to her senior prom.  Posted by Picasa

Logan won this croc from his dentist office raffle.. I think Spence commandeered it the entire weekend. Posted by Picasa

Sophia and Avery...."best friends" (on the days that Sophie doesn't accuse of her "ruining everything") Posted by Picasa

Dan is getting Madeline out to deeper water and then she gets on his back and walks her across to the other side of the bay. Posted by Picasa

The last night of campfire...Dan and I taught the Hurley boys and Sarah how to make a really great campfire treat! mmm.... delicious, warm buttery cinnamon sugar coated croissants!!! of course we did this AFTER the kids went to bed. Posted by Picasa

Anyone who has taken a picture of Dan and I please send it to me...please....He seems to think that we have no pictures together. I believe his exact words to Sarah in taking this picture were " pease take a picture of us there are very few in exsistance" It is so not true! We have many.  Posted by Picasa

Sarah and Tina...we may look incrediby great in this picture, but we were so ready to be done with camping! Posted by Picasa

Friends, fun and injuries!

In July we had some friends come over for some Sunday afternoon fun and dinner. Josh came with a roll of plastic in tow and they boys created the ultimate slip and slide. Poor placement of the slide led Sam to smash his hips into a sprinkler head under the plastic, basically ripping off his flesh. Thank God I keep the the biggest first aid kit in Spokane Valley. Lisa and Dusty came also, but did not have swim suits, so Lisa took these great candids in between her aweome acrobats on the trampoline.

I'm not sure what Josh is doing with his leg here but it is kind of frightening.  Posted by Picasa

Spokane Air Show

I love this picture of Madeline. She is just such a great girl. Dan and I refer to her as "The most responsible 7 year old you ever meet" Posted by Picasa

The Williams family was truly blessed for 4 weeks this late Spring, early Summer. Conner came up and stayed with us and helped out with watching the kids while Dan and I were working. The kids had an absolute blast! And we all know that Conner has a special place in Sophia's heart, so she was elated upon his arrival in May. There really are no words that explain what a wonderful time we had while he was here, nor could we ever express how much we love and appreciate him, his friendship and his love for us. Conner you are truly family to us, we love you and will miss having you around~ And like my mom...you freaking made my cry after you drove off! That proves that I love you, even though you keep kicking our butts at road rage! One day, Conner, one day!

Where this Madeline, there WAS Rascal. Yes, Again Madeline has had a pet tragedy~! I am starting to feel really bad for her. She has had and lost 3 cats and 2 hamsters in 3 years! When she gets older she would be smart to never tell the boys about this or they may just be too scared to date her. Rascal was given to her by Uncle Neue and Aunt Cherlynne on her birthday this last January. At least with Daisy and Reilly (the first two cats) they got hit by a car, and we had some finality. With Rascal, we are not sure where he is. We left to go back to Oregon for a couple of day on a family emergency. When we came home, he was no where to found. UNcle Neue kept checking mail etc and he never came back once. So, we are just not sure where he is or what happened. Sad day for Maddy!
